Stupid Never Dies uses a roguelite structure: repeated dungeon dives, a level reset at the start of each run and lasting progression between attempts. It is also a story-driven 3D action RPG. Expect to return to the shopping mall and prepare another dive as the adventure progresses.
What makes each dive different
Davy begins each dungeon entry at level 1. During the run, you fight for experience, choose from Level-Up Receipts and acquire temporary monster Styles. The available skill choices, enemy encounters and useful combinations change across dives.
A dungeon timer adds pressure to those decisions. You have to balance fighting for strength against moving deeper, while Landing Areas give you a pause in the countdown and a choice of the next destination.
What survives the level reset

Permanent preparation changes the next attempt. Mall upgrades remain yours, equipment supports later dives, and defeating enemies builds the growth system that makes Davy level faster on future entries. Even an unsuccessful attempt can contribute to that growth.
A reset therefore does not return the whole campaign to its starting condition. The next level-1 Davy can become stronger much faster than he did near the beginning.
Choose it for the loop you want
The core appeal is adapting a build during a limited dive, returning to the hub, then pushing farther with better preparation and faster growth. If you want one uninterrupted character level that only increases across the entire campaign, this structure will feel different.
If you enjoy trying new combinations while keeping meaningful long-term progress, the combination of action RPG combat and repeated runs is the more useful expectation to bring to Stupid Never Dies.
