Yes. Body Hack equipment continues to function after Davy transforms into another Style. You do not have to return to Zombie form to benefit from installed OT gear. Transformation changes your monster moveset without switching off the equipment system.
Keep the equipment and Style effects separate
Your equipped gear and your current Style contribute different things to the build. A transformation supplies its own attacks and Style Skill; OT gear adds the effects listed on the installed pieces. This lets you combine monster abilities with the equipment prepared at the mall.
Check an effect that seems inactive
Before replacing equipment, inspect the wording of the effect you expected to see:
- A passive effect may not have a separate activation animation.
- An automatic skill has its own triggering conditions.
- An active option must be used as an action rather than judged only by the appearance of the transformed body.
Read the actual gear description and compare the same action under the same conditions. Different attack reach, movement and positioning can make a transformation feel different even when the equipment remains installed.
Prepare the combination before diving
Use Ink on the Brain in the shopping mall to develop and equip the gear. Choose a Style that fits the encounter, then consider how your gear supports that plan. There is no need to discard a useful transformation simply because its body shape differs from Zombie Davy.
This rule establishes that equipment works across Styles. It does not mean every conditional bonus applies to every attack; the requirement written on the individual piece still matters.
