Style Skills are randomized by design. Each of the ten acquired monster Styles has five possible skills, and a core gives you one of them. Eating another core from the same monster type does not guarantee the skill you received earlier.
Separate the monster from the skill roll
The Style identifies the form you are acquiring. The skill on its card identifies the particular active ability offered by that core. Those are related, but they are not interchangeable labels.
For example, seeing another Harpy core tells you the type of transformation. It is still necessary to read the offered skill before assuming it will repeat the same attack sequence you used on a previous run.

Check the offer before accepting
- Open the offered Style Card when a new core becomes available.
- Read its skill name and effect.
- Compare the offer with your current ability and your next combat task.
- Keep the current option if the new skill would disrupt a combination you want to use.
You are allowed to decline an acquisition. That choice is useful when the new form has attractive stats but a skill you do not want for the next encounter.
Avoid assuming a hidden guarantee
The five possible skills do not establish equal drop chances, a fixed acquisition order or a guaranteed next roll. There is no verified selection or reroll method here that forces a particular Style Skill from a core.
Build around the actual card you receive. When a familiar transformation behaves differently, inspect the skill first before treating the change as a lost upgrade or a combat fault.
