Combat Camera Assist Settings

Quick Answer

Open the in-game menu, choose the Accessibility tab and switch Combat Camera Assist on. It turns the camera toward the enemy you are fighting, which helps with elites and bosses, but you will still adjust the camera manually at times.

To enable Stupid Never Dies Combat Camera Assist, open the in-game menu, select the Accessibility tab and turn Combat Camera Assist on. It automatically rotates the view toward the enemy you are fighting. You still need to make manual camera adjustments in some situations.

Turn the setting on

  1. Open the in-game menu.
  2. Go to Accessibility.
  3. Find Combat Camera Assist.
  4. Switch it On and compare how the camera follows your next fight.

Combat Camera Assist is the row below Camera Assist.

This is an assistance toggle, rather than a new combat command. There is no verified sensitivity value, tracking-strength slider or additional targeting mode to recommend here.

What the setting changes

The assistance helps you keep enemies in view while fighting. That can reduce the amount of manual camera rotation needed when attacking and responding to enemies at close range.

It does not establish a conventional manual lock-on. In particular, it should not be expected to pin a chosen enemy throughout the encounter, keep tracking at any distance or make an attack connect regardless of Davy's orientation and reach.

Compare it in an updated build

Combat Camera Assist was added in the September 21 demo update alongside attack-tracking improvements. Those improvements are included in the full release.

If you are comparing the current game with a much earlier demo impression, check which build the older footage describes. An old camera complaint may predate the option, while a current complaint may concern the limits that remain after enabling it.

Choose the toggle according to how well you can read the fight. There is no verified “best” universal camera preset or numeric configuration to add beyond the confirmed option.
